Little Golden Books are beloved for good reason.

Seven Little Postman

Such lovely and enjoyable stories which are a wonderful read for parent and child, the perfect amount of words per picture and exciting storylines. You may opt to avoid that those which reference 'that fat this' or 'that fat that' such as the Little Golden Book 'Mother Goose', 'The Tawny Scrawny Lion' or 'The Saggy Baggy Elephant', or at least take control and attempt to gloss over this word so your toddler hopefully will be less inclined to start throwing this passé adjective around freely on playdates. It is a modern day challenge to avoid this word in children's literature.
